A Hot Weekend Forecast
A hot start to the weekend is expected. Highs will try for the middle 90s.
The dew point won’t be helping matters. It will be in the upper 60s and close to 70 much of the weekend.
Because of that, the heat index will be close to 100 degrees Saturday afternoon.
The next chance for storms comes our way Saturday night and stays mainly to the north.
The Storm Prediction Center has this area in a level 2 “Slight Risk” for storms Saturday night. A “Marginal Risk” is found further south for any storm that can make it towards the interstate.
It’ll be a little cooler by Sunday, but not by much.
