A mess heading into the holiday weekend

We’re getting closer to the holiday weekend and it’s certainly not going to be an average, run-of-the-mill, kind of holiday weekend. We have all kinds of weather possible and temperatures are going to be all over the place!

Tomorrow High Dma

We continue to see very mild temperatures on Thursday with highs 10 to 15 degrees above average (38).

Day 2 High Dma

Most of us will see highs in the lower and middle 50s on Friday with partly cloudy skies and a light southwest breeze. A great travel day!

Christmas Weekend Forecast

Things start to get interesting Saturday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible Saturday and Sunday before transitioning to a rain/snow mix on Christmas Day/Night.

Any Model Latest Run 2

Here’s what it may look like Christmas morning (above). Rain for eastern Nebraska, rain/snow mix for central Nebraska, and snow to the west. This will all move east during Christmas Day.

Any Model Rainfall Accum State

The liquid potential is significant for some. Where we’ll likely see mostly rain, a half an inch to an inch and a half of rain will be possible in eastern Nebraska.
