A pleasant next few days- Storms return Monday
- Sunday morning, some rain and thunderstorms will develop in SE Nebraska. Monday will look to be warm with temperatures in the 80s under mostly sunny skies.
- Strong to severe storms will form Monday afternoon and evening along a cold front. Some storms could have small hail, damaging winds and localized flooding concerns. Rain totals could range from 0.50″-1.25″.
- Tuesday will bring widespread rain and thunderstorms across the state, with cooler highs only reaching the low to mid-70s.
Sunday evening, there is a MARGINAL risk for severe weather in far northeast Nebraska. A few isolated storms could become severe due to small hail and gusty winds.
Sunday morning into Sunday afternoon, a few showers and storms will develop in SE Nebraska. Monday afternoon, a few showers and thunderstorms will try and develop along I-80 and move south by 5pm. Monday evening, a cold front will move east bringing storms near 4pm near Grand Island. By Monday evening, storms and showers will become more widespread across the state. These storms will likely have gusty winds, small hail and localized flooding concerns through Tuesday morning.
Monday, there is a MARGINAL risk for severe weather. Storms will develop along a cold front Monday afternoon and strengthen Monday evening as they move east. Main concerns will be winds up to 60 mph, small hail and localized flooding.
Sunday morning, patchy dense fog will develop across parts of the state, with visibility dropping below a mile, especially along the Missouri River.
Tonight, temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 50s under partly cloudy skies, with areas of patchy dense fog developing overnight.
Sunday afternoon, temperatures will warm up into the upper 70s and some lower 80s under mostly sunny skies. Some clouds and fog will be present through Sunday morning.
