After a cool start, heat headed our way
It was a cool start to the month of September. In fact, we tied a record in Lincoln. Only one other time in history did it take this long to hit 80 degrees or higher in September.
We’ll start the day on Thursday near 60 degrees, which is just about normal for this time of year.
We’ll quickly warm up to around 80 by noon and then top out in the middle 80s.
The warm up continues on Thursday with highs in the middle 80s to the east and upper 80s to around 90 to the west.
After the middle and upper 80s on Thursday, the 90s come back for Friday and Game Day Saturday. The chance for storms holds off until late Saturday into Sunday.
The best chance for rain will be on Sunday with just small chances on and off next week.
