After Wednesday, rain chances start to increase
We will see one more day of quiet and comfortable weather, then, the chance for storms rolls back in. Temperatures cool off a little by the end of the week, but we start to really heat up next week.
Wednesday is looking like a top 10 day!
Most of us will top out at 80 degrees, or at least the upper 70s.
Storms then become likely late Wednesday into Thursday. Storm remain possible Friday and into the weekend.
The first wave of storms won’t make it too far out of the panhandle Wednesday night.
Storms that do happen out that way will have a decent chance at being severe.
Storms then become likely Thursday, but the threat for severe weather (so far) looks relatively small.
SW Nebraska has the better chance for severe storms on Thursday and even that is the level 1 “Marginal Risk”.
However, the potential for heavy rain is certainly something to keep an eye on. Above is the rainfall potential through very early Friday.
Because of the heavy rain potential, the Storm Prediction Center has parts of Nebraska in a low and medium risk for excessive rainfall and flooding Thursday into Friday.
