Drying out this morning, but more strong evening storms are likely 6/24/2021

Thunderstorms are still rolling through southeast Nebraska this morning with gusty winds and heavy downpours. Temperatures only dropped to the upper 60s and low 70s this morning due to all of the rain and most of the area has a sticky feeling due to the moisture.

Later this evening we could even see another round of severe weather. These storms will likely bring gusty winds, small hail and heavy downpours. A few tornadoes can’t be ruled out, but the chance for them isn’t high. Storms will start to bubble up after 5 PM and they will move through the area likely until a little after midnight. High temperatures cool down the next few days into the low 80s and eventually upper 70s with several chances of rain.
