Arctic outbreak this week; warmer next week
The main thing to take away from the forecast over the next few days is that it is going to be COLD!

There is an Extreme Cold Warning Tuesday through Thursday for the western half of the state and a Cold Weather Advisory for eastern Nebraska into Wednesday.
Temperatures overnight into early Wednesday will drop below zero again ranging from 5 to 15 below zero.
The wind chill will have a sharp bite to it. 20 to 25 below is likely.
We don’t warm up much for Wednesday, but at least most of us will be above zero for a while.
But then, the bottom drops out. We’ll see temperatures fall to 15 to 25 degrees below zero for actual temperatures.
Because of the bitter cold Wednesday night into Thursday, an EXTREME COLD WARNING is in place through Thursday. -35 degree wind chills are possible.
After the bitter cold days on Wednesday and Thursday, a warm up begins on Friday. It’ll still be cold, but it’s just the beginning of a warm up!
We’re looking at 30s and 40s for the weekend, then a lot of 50s next week!
