Athlete of the Week: Southwest’s CB/RB Jase Coke

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — On Friday, Lincoln Southwest took on Lincoln Southeast in Channel 8’s Game of the Week.

In a back in forth contest, the Silver Hawks took down the Knights for the first time since the 2022-23 season by a score of 26-23 at Seacrest Field.

One of Southwest’s newest additions, Jase Coke, gives the Silver Hawks a weapon from both sides of the ball—having eligibility at cornerback, running back and receiver. After transferring from Standing Bear last season, Coke proves to be one of the team’s most productive players. In only his third contest with Southwest, Coke won offensive player of the game, logging 101 all-purpose yards, one touchdown and six total tackles. He previously won defensive player of the game on August 28.
