Beatrice Police investigating overnight drive-by shooting
BEATRICE, Neb. (KLKN) — The Beatrice Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting that happened early Wednesday morning.
Police tell Channel 8 it happened near 13th and Lincoln Streets around 2:30 a.m. Officials say the bullets hit a residence in the area, but they are not sure how many hit the home.
No witnesses were outside at the time of the shooting, and there are no reports of any injuries.
Police closed Lincoln Street for some time to investigate, but it has since been reopened.
They think this was a targeted event and say there’s no further threat to the public.
