Blizzard Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories: March 3-5, 2025
Blizzard Warnings are in place for parts of the western half of the state tonight through noon Wednesday.
A Winter Weather Advisory for much of central and eastern Nebraska Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday.
Then another Blizzard Warning for eastern Nebraska into IA and MO Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Thunderstorms start to happen tonight into early Tuesday, then things change over to snow. First in western Nebraska Tuesday morning, into central Nebraska by early afternoon, and eastern Nebraska Tuesday evening. Below is what our StormCast model is showing for timing and duration of the storm.
Snowfall totals will be VERY difficult to measure with all of the wind. Here’s what’s expected, but most of it will be blowing around and drifting.
The wind REALLY picks up Tuesday afternoon and evening with gusts in excess of 60 mph possible. High Wind Warnings are in place for much of central and eastern Nebraska and parts of the panhandle.
Wind gusts in excess of 60 mph will be possible by Tuesday afternoon and evening.
The precipitation comes to an end on Wednesday, but it will still be very windy.
