Bootle, other former Huskers impress at Nebraska Pro Day

The former Husker defensive back said he would run a sub 4.4 second 40-yard dash when he spoke with the media on Monday. He officially ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds during Nebraska's Pro Day on Tuesday.  

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Dicaprio Bootle called his shot on Monday, and on Tuesday he backed it up.

The former Husker defensive back said he would run a sub 4.4 second 40-yard dash when he spoke with the media on Monday. He officially ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds during Nebraska’s Pro Day on Tuesday.

Bootle also had a vertical jump of 36 and a half inches while having 16 reps on the bench press.

Matt Farniok, a former Husker offensive lineman and team captain, had the second highest total in vertical jump (33 inches) and the most reps on the bench press (28). Fellow offensive lineman Brenden Jaimes had a 30 and a half inch vertical jump and 25 reps on the bench press.

Former running back Dedrick Mills ran a 4.5 second 40-yard dahs, had a 32.5 inch vertical jump and 13 reps on the bench press.

Tight end Jack Stoll ran a 4.6 second 40-yard dash, had 16 reps on the bench and a 31 and a half inch vertical jump.

The NFL Draft begins April 29th and runs through May 1.
