LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln woman pleaded not guilty Wednesday in the beating and robbing of a teenage girl.
Charlissa Lasley, 19 waived her preliminary hearing in Lancaster County Court.

On April 12, police said Lasley was involved in a minor crash with a 17-year-old girl at the U-Stop near 21st and K streets.
Court documents say Lasley demanded that the teen pay her $300, but the girl refused.
The two took pictures of each other’s license plates and left the gas station.

But an arrest affidavit says Lasley followed the other driver, who then pulled into a parking lot.
Lasley punched the teen in the face, police said, knocking her to the ground.
She kept punching and kicking the girl while she was down, according to the affidavit.

Police said another woman, who was one of Lasley’s passengers, then joined in on the assault.
Her other passenger, 20-year-old Jaquan Sidney, told the women to “take her bag” as he recorded the girl’s beating on a cellphone, an affidavit says.
The teen was able to hold on to her purse, but police said the assailants stole her vehicle key fob.
Lasley and Sidney are each charged with robbery. Police have not identified the third attacker.
Sidney is set to be arraigned in Lancaster County District Court on June 11.
Lasley’s next hearing will be June 18.
