Changes are near
A spring feel to the air will stick around through Wednesday and Thursday. We’ll see temperatures in the 70s with a storm chance each day. Then, winter shows up. It’ll be much colder starting Friday with a chance for some mixed precipitation Saturday and Sunday. Dry and chilly after that.
Highs on Wednesday will be in the 60s and 70s for most of our area with a chance for storms on and off.
The best chance for storms will be a little to our southeast, but we will certainly be close enough that we need to keep an eye on things.
Because of this severe weather potential, there is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” in place for SE Nebraska for storms that will try to form Wednesday afternoon and early evening. Hail and damaging wind will be the main concern.
After the storm chance Wednesday and Thursday, it gets COLD on Friday.
Another system will push in on Saturday, giving much of central and eastern Nebraska a rain/snow mix chance. Snow chances are better further north and northwest.
