Changes on the horizon
Other than a small storm chance early, much of Wednesday will be dry, warm, and humid.
Temperatures will eventually top out in the lower 90s for most of us. Middle 90s are possible further south.
The dew points will, unfortunately, be high once again. Lot’s of 70s by the afternoon.
With highs in the 90s and dew points in the 70s, many of us will be very close to 100 for a heat index.
After Wednesday, we do have cooler air on the way, but we have to get past a cold front first. And that cold front will give us a chance at some severe storms. Much of eastern Nebraska is in a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms with a level 2 “Slight Risk” just to the northeast.
Storms will start to fire up in the afternoon in western Nebraska and make their way southeast through the afternoon and early evening.
