Chilly end to the week
After some light mixed precipitation early Friday, we dry out for quiet a while.
Temperatures will be on the chilly side for Friday, but a warm up begins on Saturday.
Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings are in place for most of western Nebraska through Friday morning. Several inches of snow is likely in the warning area.
Above is the additional snowfall expected from late Thursday evening through Friday morning.
The liquid equivalent is impressive for SW Nebraska, but eastern Nebraska will likely miss out on anything significant.
The main reason is dry air, again. Low moisture content is expected for the eastern half of the state.
With that said, light rain is possible in Lincoln in the morning with a few snowflakes mixing in at times.
Temperatures will struggle on Friday. Highs will be in the lower 40s!
