City of Lincoln officials urge caution during morning commute after fresh batch of snow

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln officials are asking drivers to be extra cautious on the roads Friday morning after a fresh round of snow on Thursday.

The city said early Friday morning that streets are partially slush and snow covered. Also, drivers should be alert of any areas that refroze overnight.

Our Channel 8 reporter driving on the roads Friday morning said the main streets are mostly clear, but intersections and residential areas remain mostly covered with snow.

An overnight parking ban remains in place for designated areas across Lincoln until 7 a.m. on Friday.

A Wind Chill Advisory is also in effect from 6 p.m. on Friday until 12 p.m. on Saturday.
