Cloud cover will increase through the overnight hours into Sunday morning for southeast Nebraska. A few rounds of showers and thunderstorms will try to make their way into the area from the west. The potential for severe weather for the rest of the weekend remains low.

Here is what the radar could look like through the day on Sunday, according to the latest run of StormCast. A quiet evening ahead in eastern Nebraska ahead of a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms through the day on Sunday.

The Panhandle may see one to two strong to severe storms late on Saturday evening before the system moves east as sub-severe storms. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) of severe weather is in place, with large hail and damaging winds being the main concerns in the strongest storms.

Df Forecast Lows Statewide

Temperatures will drop to the lower and middle 60s statewide by Sunday morning. Patchy areas of fog will be possible, particularly in eastern Nebraska.

Df Skycast Tonight

Cloud cover is expected to increase through the overnight hours in Lincoln. Those out after the concert at Memorial Stadium should see minimal impacts early in the evening, with fog possible closer to sunrise.

Df State Tomorrow High

Cloud cover and chances for showers will keep the eastern half of the state cooler on Sunday. Western Nebraska will feature temperatures more typical for late August, with highs in the upper 80s to 90s.

Df Skycast Tomorrow

Most of the day will be dry in the Capital City on Sunday, though a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms may bring a few moments worthy of the umbrella.

Isolated chances for severe weather begin to creep east into central Nebraska on Monday. For the moment, there is a Marginal Risk for the western third of the state.

Df 10 Day Forecast

Small chances for showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast for the first half of the week. We see a return to the middle 80s before additional precipitation chances heading into next weekend.
