Cold front tonight- Rain returns Monday evening
A warm, sunny, and dry Sunday across the state! Monday brings cooler air with scattered rain showers and a few thunderstorms by the afternoon and evening. Tuesday will be rainy and chilly — keep that umbrella close as steady rain continues through the day. Temperatures will feel 20–25° cooler from the weekend highs! We get back to near 80 degrees starting Wednesday!
This afternoon, expect gusty winds across the state — 35 to 45 mph at times! North winds out west and warm south winds across eastern Nebraska.
Sunday night, a few light rain showers are possible in SE Nebraska. Monday morning near 6-7am, light rain showers will develop towards the tri cities before more widespread showers develop near noon Monday. A few thunderstorms could occur Monday evening into Tuesday morning. Tuesday, steady light to moderate rain will be persisting throughout the morning and afternoon hours.
Tonight, temperatures will feel a bit chilly and brisk! Temperatures dropping into the upper 40s and low to mid 50s, with a north wind around 10-15 mph.
Monday afternoon, high temperatures will be much cooler across Nebraska. Temperatures will only reach the 50s and 60s with scattered rain showers by the afternoon.
