Cold start to the day with rain back in the forecast late tonight 4/15/2021

Good Thursday morning! Once again, we are starting off the day with subfreezing temperatures and wind chill values in the 20s. Sensitive vegetation might be damaged and as well as pipes. Patchy frost is also possible this morning across southeast Nebraska, so you might need to give your car some extra time to heat up this morning. We will start off the day with sunshine, but clouds will gradually increase into the afternoon and evening ahead of our next storm system. Highs today will once again be in the low 50s with calmer wind speeds. A few spotty showers are possible out west this evening, with the rest of the showers arriving overnight for the other half of the area. This rain will continue off and on overnight and throughout your Friday. We could even see the showers lingering into Saturday morning before we dry out and warm up for Sunday.

  • TODAY: Increasing clouds into the afternoon and evening ahead of the late evening showers. HIGH: 53
  • FRIDAY: Don’t forget the umbrella! Scattered rain showers will push through southeast Nebraska throughout the day with chilly high temperatures. HIGH: 48
  • SATURDAY: A few scattered showers are likely in the morning before we dry out for the rest of the day. HIGH: 52
  • SUNDAY: Temperatures finally warm up a bit with mostly cloudy skies. HIGH: 57
  • MONDAY: Cold front brings the chance for rain with highs near the 60s and blustery conditions. HIGH: 59
