Cool and quiet through the weekend

After a couple of days of warmer weather and rainfall, we’re going to quiet down and cool off for a while. In fact, every single day in the next 10 days will see highs below average! We do see more rain chances coming our way next week, though.
The Drought Monitor has been released as it usually is on Thursdays. Much of the state is still very much in need of rain.
We did see some rain Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Most of it fell in extreme SE Nebraska.
Some very light mixed precipitation will be possible the second half of the day on Friday. Most of the state will remain dry, cloudy, and chilly.
Temperatures should be in the middle 60s this time of year. Instead, most of us will be in the 50s Friday.
We won’t warm up over the next few days, either. 50s Friday and Saturday and trying for 60 on Sunday. Stay warm out there!
