A COOL, rainy & cloudy day across the state. High temperatures statewide only reaching the 60s & 70s with the coolest air farther west due to more afternoon rainfall. WELL BELOW AVERAGE for summer time! Don’t get used to it that’s for sure!
Light rain showers will persist through the morning hours across SE & north central, NE. Rain will return by the afternoon, with the best rain chances near the NE/KS line & areas out west & SW
Thursday evening, some areas of light to moderate rain could occur from McCook to Lincoln as the night progresses.
Lincoln will have the best chances for light rain from 10am-noon and again from 10pm-3am Friday. Very minimal rain accumulations are expected.
Rainfall potential through Thursday night looks to favor SW & western Nebraska. Rain accumulations up to an additional 0.25″-0.5″+.
Thursday morning & evening brings spotty rain across SW & eastern Nebraska with cloudy & cool conditions. A HOT & HUMID weekend ahead with spotty rain/storm chances next week.
