Cool & Rainy Tuesday Afternoon
A few strong to severe storms capable of LARGE HAIL, 60-70+ mph gusts & minor flooding will move ESE Tuesday morning & afternoon. The best threat for severe weather looks to be from North Platte & areas south & SW.
7-9am: Storms will form out west near Lexington, carrying a hail/wind threat. *Storm motion will be SSE*
10am-noon: Storms will dive south, with the strongest storms near Lexington & Curtis. Some hail & gusty winds will be associated with these storms.
1-3pm: Storms continue south near McCook, carrying gusty winds, small hail & heavy rainfall. Farther east will likely just get rain showers.
A rainy & cool day across the state. LINCOLN will likely see rain near noon-5pm. Better chance for more rain & severe weather will be out west.
A well BELOW AVERAGE day temperature wise! Highs only reaching the 70s and 80s statewide.
Wednesday night-Thursday SEVERE WX:
Storms will look to form out west Wednesday evening, carrying a hail/wind threat. By late Wednesday into early Thursday, storms will move ESE along & south of I-80 weakening with time. The LLJ will be primed near the NE/KS border, meaning gusty winds will be possible with any overnight storms.
Storms start out west Wednesday night and move ESE through Thursday morning.
Afternoon rain/T-storms across the state Tuesday. A mostly sunny and warm Wednesday, before increasing rain chances through Thursday. A HOT & HUMID weekend ahead with spotty rain/storm chances.
