Cool through first half of the weekend
A few showers and storms will be possible tonight, then again Friday night into Saturday. After that, we dry up and heat up. Highs next week will be pushing into the middle and upper 90s.
The Drought Monitor is out for this week and while we did improve a little bit, we still have a long way to go. It’s very difficult to get out of a drought, but we’re making steps in the right direction.
There is a chance for some light rain late tonight into early Friday. Most of us will remain dry, but a sprinkle along and south will be possible.
Another chance for rain comes our way late Friday into early Saturday. Spot showers and storms will be possible, while the chance for severe storms is low.
One more cool July day to round out the week. Enjoy!
We warm up a little more on Saturday.
We will see high temperatures back to around normal by Sunday.
