Cool with a bit of a breeze today 4/25/2022

Clouds are keeping the eastern half of the area on the warmer side, while those of you that live around the Tri-Cities are cooling. Wind chill values in Lincoln are in the upper 30s, but wind chill values drop the further to the west that you go. Bundle up before you head out the door and keep at least a light jacket with you. Clearing skies will eventually help warm all of southeast NE into the upper 50s. This is around 10 degrees cooler compared to average end of April highs. While it won’t be very windy today, you still will be able to notice a breeze with gusts above 25 mph at times. Much warmer conditions return tomorrow as temperatures return to the low 70s with sunny skies. The 80s eventually return on Wednesday, but so does the wind. Strong wind gusts are likely for a majority of the end of the work week. Rain chances also increase daily starting Wednesday. This is your warning to soak up the sunshine and warm temperatures on Tuesday before the wind and clouds return!
