Cooler air and spot showers on the way
Scattered storms are possible in western Nebraska Wednesday evening. Some of them may become strong to severe.
There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms Wednesday evening, meaning one or two storms may get severe. Hail and damaging wind are the main concerns.
The cold front responsible for the storms in western Nebraska Wednesday night will push east into Thursday. Eastern Nebraska may see some showers in the late morning and afternoon.
Precipitation amounts will be spotty and generally less than a tenth of an inch.
The north breeze that will follow the cold front may drag down some some from the wildfires in Canada. North central Nebraska may see the most amount of it by Thursday afternoon.
Temperatures will be cooler after the cold front, too. Highs for most of us will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
We remain cool all the way into the weekend, too. The Huskers game is looking great weather-wise!
