Cooler on Thursday, but warming into Saturday 3/3/2022

We are off to a bit of a cooler start this morning thanks to a change in wind direction overnight. Our wind is out of the northeast, and this is bringing cooler air into Nebraska. Temperatures are currently in the 20s and 30s with mostly clear skies, but wind chill values are making it feel like the teens. Grab your heavy coats and gloves before you head off to work or send the kids to school! While you didn’t need these layers yesterday and could even get away with wearing shorts, today will be much cooler. You will want a jacket into the afternoon and evening as highs will only reach the low 50s. Temperatures remain in the 20s and 30s tonight with a decent breeze and partly cloudy skies. We quickly rebound in temperatures tomorrow afternoon with above average highs back in the mid-70s and windy conditions. The warmth sticks around through Saturday but a big temperature drop arrives on Sunday. We go from the 70s down to highs in the 30s and 40s! Showers late in the day Friday through Saturday are likely with even some stronger severe storms late Saturday on the Iowa side. The chance for snow showers also still looks possible Sunday night in to Monday morning.
