Cooler than average through the weekend

After a vigorous storm system blew through Tuesday, we’re going to be much cooler for the next several days. We have more rain chances, too!

Below are where all of the storm reports were located for the 4th of July storm and some of the higher rainfall and hail reports:

The 2.75″ hail reports are baseball size hail and the 2.5″ hail reports are tennis ball size!

Thursday will mainly be dry, but a frontal boundary may get close enough to give us a shower Thursday late afternoon and evening.

Much of the storm activity will remain in central and western Nebraska through the day.

Because of these storms, the western half of the state is in a level 2 “Slight Risk” for storms. The green shaded “Marginal Risk” will be for any storms that make it into central and eastern Nebraska by the evening.
