Crews respond to multiple crashes on I-80 in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — First responders were busy Friday morning responding to multiple rollovers along Interstate 80 in Lincoln.

No one was seriously injured, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 4:15 a.m., a semi rolled over into a ditch off I-80 near Northwest 12th Street and Cornhusker Highway.

Then about 6 a.m., a vehicle rolled into a ditch near the 27th Street exit.

Another crash along I-80 involved three vehicles near 14th Street around 6:30 a.m.

A Channel 8 reporter at the scene said a semi had been turned around.

In a post on X, police said the crashes on I-80 caused significant delays.

“Slower speeds and increased following distances are strongly encouraged during the morning commute,” LPD wrote early Friday.
