Day one of Husker Harvest Days brings in 3,000 pounds of food
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) — Heartland United Way announced that the first day of Husker Harvest Days brought in over 3,000 pounds of food.
Wilber-Clatonia Future Farmers of America (FFA) was the number one spot, bringing in 311 pounds of food.
26 schools and 625 people donated.
The donations go towards the Heartland United Way Food Drive, where FFA students receive free entry into Husker Harvest Days with a minimum donation of five non-perishable food items.
