Doctor and former Husker football player arrested

Police say 52 year old Scott Strasburger is responsible for two car accidents, both while under the influence on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the woman behind the wheel tried to exchange information, but said his writing was not legible.
He’s accused of fleeing the scene again.
Police found Strasburger at his home around 4:30 p.m. They arrested him for a DUI negligent driving, leaving the scene of an accident and child neglect, because there was a 6 year old in his car.
Documents we obtained show his blood alcohol level was zero, and it’s suspected he was high.
This is not the first time Strasburger has been in trouble. The former Husker player and team doctor has had his medical license suspended for the last six months. That suspension began late last year after the attorney general’s office determined he showed up impaired to operate. Also, he failed a previous drug test last July.
Strasburger was released from Lancaster County Jail last night on bond.
He declined to comment.
I spoke with a representative of Nebraska Health and Human Services who says, for right now, his medical license is still suspended.
