FORECAST:
5-7PM:A line of strong storms will form from O’Neil->south. The middle & southern end of this line will have the BEST chance for tornadoes! I’m looking at places like Columbus, Wahoo, Fremont, Norfolk, West Point & areas near Wilber and Crete.
Large hail up to tennis balls or greater will be possible with these discrete storms Sunday evening.
Damaging winds up to 65-75+ mph will be possible as storms form a line by 8-10pm.
A few STRONG TORNADOES EF-2+ will be possible across eastern & northeast Nebraska. I’m looking at places like Columbus, Wahoo, Fremont, Norfolk, West Point & areas near Wilber and Crete.
High temperatures Sunday afternoon will be quite hot across the storm area. Highs ranging from the 70s to the 90s!
Monday, our last breath of severe weather across SE Nebraska. The main threats will be LARGE HAIL, DAMAGING WINDS & an isolated TORNADO threat. This threat will depend on how Sunday goes. Stay weather aware the farther SE you are through Monday!
Keeping a close eye on Monday afternoon and evening as storm could form near school pick up time.
