Driver hospitalized after head-on crash in southeast Lincoln during winter storm

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A person was hospitalized Tuesday morning after a head-on crash in southeast Lincoln.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. near 56th Street and Normal Boulevard.

LPD Officer Tim Abele said an SUV was trying to pass a vehicle when it collided with an eastbound vehicle.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Abele said winter weather conditions were a factor in the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
