Driver pinned inside car after head-on crash on rural Nebraska road
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several people were injured Tuesday in a head-on crash on a gravel road in rural Nebraska.
The Nance County Sheriff’s Office says the two-vehicle crash happened on South 380th Avenue, southwest of Genoa.
Investigators think the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when they collided.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was pinned inside and had to be extricated by first responders. They were then flown to a hospital.
The occupants of the other vehicle, which had rolled, were taken to a hospital in Genoa “with less severe injuries,” the sheriff’s office says.
Genoa is about 20 miles west of Columbus.
