Dylan Carey signs contract with the New York Mets

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Dylan Carey, a Nebraska senior shortstop, signed an undrafted free agent contract with the New York Mets.

After Ty Horn and Carson Jasa, Carey is the third Husker this year to continue with the Major League Baseball (MLB) organization.

Carey has many accolades in his Husker baseball career including the Brooks Wallace Award, All-American recognition and receiving Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.

Carey’s at-bats were ranked third in the program history at the end of his Husker baseball career.
