Elementary school goes on lockout after man stabbed in central Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A school in south-central Nebraska went under lockout Tuesday after a man was stabbed.

Around 9:30 a.m., Webster County deputies were called to a home in Bladen, a village about 20 miles north of Red Cloud, on a report of a domestic disturbance.

The sheriff’s office says deputies found a man who’d been stabbed twice in the arm. He said he was attacked by a woman who left the home and headed west on foot.

His injuries were not life-threatening, and he was treated at a hospital in Hastings.

The Silverlake Elementary School was notified of the attack and went into lockout as a precaution.

Authorities identified the woman as 32-year-old Holly Hartman. She was found at a nearby home around noon and taken into custody.

School resumed as normal after the arrest.
