Emergency bridge repair closure extended for Sun Valley Boulevard

UPDATE, 3:05 p.m. Thursday: The City of Lincoln announced that the closure on Sun Valley Boulevard will be extended through Tuesday.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A portion of Sun Valley Boulevard was suddenly closed on Wednesday.

The boulevard is closed between 11th and Charleston Streets. Crews closed the road to make an emergency bridge repair.

City officials say the bridge should be repaired by noon on Thursday.

StarTran Route 52-Gaslight will be detoured during the closure. More information on detours can be found on the city’s website.

The completion time is subject to change should severe weather complicate the work.
