EYEWITNESS: A high-stakes standoff, right in front of her home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Wednesday afternoon, the Lincoln Police Department (LPD) was involved in a standoff that left one officer in critical condition. Law enforcement officials were attempting to contact 17-year-old Felipe Vazquez, who had an outstanding warrant for second-degree assault when individuals inside the residence shot an LPD officer. We spoke with Mary McDaniels, an eyewitness who saw it all happen, right in front of her home.
