Fall making its presence known this week

Fall will continue to make its presence known over the next couple of days, with cool mornings and warm afternoons in the forecast. Although Monday will start off on a chilly note, mostly sunny skies will help push temperatures into the 70s during the afternoon. It will be a very comfortable day outside a high near 77° in Lincoln.

Monday Forecast

Wind gusts may be in the ballpark of 20-25 mph during the afternoon in eastern Nebraska, although this is considerably less breezy compared to Sunday. The highest wind gust on Sunday registered at 38 mph at Lincoln Airport. We won’t come close to that on Monday.

We keep clear skies around into Tuesday morning, which should help drop temperatures into the 40s once again.

Monday Night Forecast

The 70s appear to stick around for many days this week, although on a few days we’ll near or surpass the 80° mark in some spots. For now, this week lacks many opportunities for rainfall.
