DEPUTIES: Fatal head-on collision near Diller

DILLER, Neb. (KLKN) — A fatal accident took place just north of Diller Friday afternoon.

Authorities responded to a two-vehicle accident when a Buick had failed to stop at a stop sign, according to the Jefferson County Sherrif’s Office.

The Buick collided head-on with the driver’s side of a KIA, driven by 33-year-old Desiree Kunzman of Kansas.

Kunzman was transported to a nearby hospital, along with the two occupants of the Buick.

The Buick passenger, 78-year-old Howard Behrens of Diller, Ne, would later succumb to his injuries.
