Fire caused $120,000 in damage to garages at Lincoln apartment complex
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A fire at a south Lincoln apartment complex on Monday caused $120,000 in damage, officials say.
Around 5 a.m., Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews were sent to the Lodge Apartments near 40th Street and Old Cheney Road.
Battalion Chief Eddie Mueller said as many as three garages caught fire and several more were damaged by smoke and water.
Most of the damage was contained to the garage where the fire began, according to LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but Lierman said there was $100,000 in damage to the structure and another $20,000 in damage to the contents.
No one was injured in the fire, Lierman said.
