Fire near North Platte remains at zero percent containment
Multiple crews have been battling the fire in Wellfleet since Tuesday.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A wildfire south of North Platte is still at zero percent containment, according to the Nebraska Forest Service.
Multiple crews have been battling the fire near Wellfleet since Tuesday. Firefighters are continuing to hold the perimeter at 900 acres near Highway 23 and Highway 83.
The National Guard is also assisting the fire crews by flying in bucket drops.
Most of the state will be under fire risk this weekend, so the Forest Service is asking for people in the area to remain safe and alert.
