Fire crews working to contain wildfire near North Platte
The Nebraska Forest Service asks people to avoid the area.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Fire crews are working to contain a wildfire south of North Platte.
National Guard helicopters have been dispatched to provide bucket drops, according to a social media post from the Nebraska Forest Service.
So far, the fire has burned over 1,000 acres of land, and it is still at 0% containment.
The Nebraska Forest Service asks people to avoid the area.
