First Day of School Forecast
The first day of school for all of Lincoln Public Schools is here! It’s looking like a pretty nice day, too.
Afternoon highs for much of the state will be in the middle and upper 80s. Some 90s are likely further west.
It’ll be sunny on Wednesday, but a few storms will be possible in northern Nebraska Wednesday night. That may make it into Lincoln early Thursday.
That cluster of storms below will be in northern Nebraska late Wednesday. It will try to move southeast over night but will fade as it does.
Storms that do get going Wednesday night may be strong to severe, especially in the yellow shaded “Slight Risk” area.
The heat comes back full force for Friday and Saturday, but we do cool back down next week.
