Heat and humidity sticking around for several days
Our average high as we get into the middle part of June is in the middle 80s. We’ll be several degrees above that the next couple of days. We cool down a little for Friday, then warm right back up for the weekend. Storm chances are out there just about every day. They are small, but they’re there!
It IS going to be hot. Highs on Wednesday will be the warmest we’ve seen so far this year.
We’ll start the day in the middle and upper 60s, but quickly warm into the 90s by early afternoon.
The dew point won’t be incredibly high, but it will be noticeable.
We’ll likely see the heat index get very close to 100 by Wednesday afternoon.
We’ll have a little bit of a southerly breezy, too. Wind gusts will approach 30 mph.
We also have a thunderstorms chance Wednesday late afternoon and evening.
The storms will be isolated in nature and if they do form, may briefly be strong to severe. There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for storms from GI to Lincoln north.
