Heat and storms in the forecast
Storms are possible late Wednesday afternoon, into the evening, and lingering into very early Thursday. If these storms can hold together, some of us may get some decent rain out of it.
Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for timing, location, and duration of the storm potential Wednesday into Thursday.
Storms that do form Wednesday night may be strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center has us in a level 1 and 2 “Marginal Risk” and “Slight Risk” for storms that form.
Before the storms Wednesday night, it looks to get hot again. As long as the sun comes back out, which it’s expected to do, we’ll see highs in the middle 90s.
Dew points will be in the 70s once again.
This means the heat index will climb into the triple digits.
The 10 day forecast has more hot days headed our way. But, it does have some cooler days in it, too!
