Heat headed our way
We get one more day of near normal temperatures before the thermostat gets cranked up for a couple of days. After a lot of 90s through much of the week, we do cool off a little bit for the weekend. Storms will be hit and miss, with more miss than hit.
There’s an outside chance that Lincoln will see an isolated storm around noon, otherwise it’ll be partly cloudy and warm. There may be a little haze from the fires in Canada, too.
The worst of the smoke will be well to our east, but we may see just enough in the upper levels of the atmosphere to create a little haze.
Aside from that isolated storm threat Tuesday, much of the day will be quiet and warm. Middle and upper 80s with a light southeast wind is expected.
Another chance for isolated storms (above) moves into central Nebraska by the evening hours.
As soon as the sun goes down, it will fade away (above) and not quite make it into eastern Nebraska.
