Heating up with a few storm chances
There is a chance for some strong storms in the western half of the state. While the severe weather potential will be west, those storms may make it into eastern Nebraska early Friday.
Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for timing, location, and duration of the storm potential Thursday night into early Friday.
After the storm threat early Friday, it warms up on us. Heat Advisories are in place for Friday for much of the state.
Highs will be in the lower, middle, and upper 90s by Friday afternoon.
With dew points in the 60s and 70s, the heat index will be well into the 100s for many of us.
It continues to be hot has we head into the weekend. In fact, it should be a degree or two hotter for the weekend vs Friday.
Because of that, the Heat Advisory will continue into Saturday.
