Heating up with storms possible
There is a level 1 “Marginal Risk” for severe storms tonight into early Thursday.
Most weather models have nothing forming until very early Wednesday morning in SE Nebraska (see below), but if a storm can form anywhere in the green shaded area (above), it would have severe potential.
We’ll start Thursday morning on the warm side with 60s and 70s for the entire state.
Then it starts to get hot. We have a Heat Advisory in place for parts of Nebraska. The heat index will be into the low 100s in this area.
The actual temperature will be in 90s for most, and in the triple digits for some Thursday afternoon.
The heat index will be in the 100s for most of us. Another hot day!
After a few days in the 90s, we cool back into the 80s for much of next week. There will be a couple of 90s by mid week, though. A few rain chances, too!
