Henry Doorly Zoo is kicking off summer this weekend

OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) – Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is kicking off summer this Memorial Day Weekend!

Several attractions, including the Alaskan Adventure Splashgrounds and Berniece Grewcock Butterfly and Insect Pavilion, will open this Friday, May 28. The Hawkins Giraffe Encounter and Meadowlark Theater will be open daily the following Saturday.

Based on the most recent health and safety guidelines, fully vaccinated guests do not have to wear a mask while at the Zoo. However, unvaccinated guests are still encouraged to mask up.
