Highlights and scores from the Nebraska girls basketball tournament semifinals

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The 2023 girls state basketball tournament is underway in Lincoln at both Pinnacle Bank Arena and the Devaney Center.

The tourney began on Wednesday and runs through Saturday, when a champion will be crowned.

Here are Friday’s semifinals results:

Class A:

Millard South 68, Bellevue West 47

Lincoln High 52, Millard North 38 – Bri Robinson’s game-high 17 points helped lead Lincoln High to it’s first state championship game since 1992.

Class B:

Elkhorn North 62, York 20 – The wolves cruised to the win behind Britt Prince who finished with 30 points. 

Omaha Skutt 63, Sidney 36

Class C1:

North Bend Central 48, Malcolm 42 – Clippers freshman standout Halle Dolliver led her squad back from a 12-point second-half deficit to pull within one  in the fourth quarter before North Bend Central closed it out to hold off Malcolm. 

Adams Central 47, Bridgeport 44 – Kadi Kimberly hit a tiebreaking three-pointer with under 30 seconds left in overtime to defeat the state’s final unbeaten team. 

Class C2:

Oakland-Craig 58, Crofton 39

Pender 54, West Point GACC 41

Class D1:

Hastings St. Cecilia 38, Ravenna 31

Centura 65, Hartington Cedar Catholic 45

Class D2:

Falls City Sacred Heart 33, Humphrey St. Francis 29

Shelton vs. Wynot

Saturday’s championship games:

Class A:  Millard South vs. Lincoln High, 6:15 p.m.

Class B: Elkhorn North vs. Omaha Skutt, 1:30 p.m.

Class C-1: North Bend Central vs. Adams Central, 11 a.m.

Class C-2: Oakland-Craig vs. Pender, 4:15 p.m.

Class D-1: Hastings St. Cecilia vs. Centura, 9 a.m.

Class D-2: Falls City Sacred Heart vs. Wynot, 8:15 p.m.
